A Malaysian issue commanding the defense of the what is called Beting Serupai in Malaysia, a shoal off the Malaysian coast whose ownership is being disputed by China,
and would represent the southern most feature claimed by the People's Republic of China. The shoal is denoted by the red spot on the stamp. In 2010 a Chinese Surveillance Ship placed a sovereignty stele in the maritime area as a mark of Chinese territory.
